New Obessive Compulsive Cosmetics 2014 Liptars (from IMATS Los Angeles)

OCC Lip Tar in Mannequin, Rollergirl and Kimber
I picked up a few OCC Liptars at the IMATS Show yesterday. I also purchased some of the new lip liners that I learned about last year by attending the PHAMExpo.
These new 2014 liptars are amazing. They are a little different then the traditional Matte Liptars, not just because of the new logo and color but the opaqueness is different to me. I do love them and each one will be used this year constantly because they are truly gorgeous.

On the OCC website liptars are $18.00 for 0.33 fl. oz. as well as on Sephora's website. However if you're a professional makeup artist you can apply for a Pro account at OCC and Nigel's Beauty Emporium. At IMATS I was able to get these liptars for $10 each.

The liptars are designed to have the wear of a lipstick, long lasting, with the ease of a gloss. These matte liptars are no exception. They last about 5 hours for me before I have to reapply because I had lunch or had my morning hot chocolate. The texture is a creamy liquid but not a sticky gel consistency like gloss.

I sat in on an interview with David, the owner of OCC, and he explained to me that 1/8th of an inch is enough liptar to apply to your entire lip. He also said that using their clear liptar as a base will help the matte liptar last even longer. I hoping to try this with the new Cosmetic Colour Liner in Anit-Feathered and Clear Liptar to see how long these matte liptars will last.

Mannequin: Is a soft Barbie pink. When built up on the lips it can look like Barbie's lipstick. If I had to pick a dupe I would say MAC Saint German or MAC Nicki's Pink Friday. (Pictured is just 1 layer of liptar)
Rollergirl: Is a rick violet purple. It is a very close color to the discontinued OCC liptar in BellaDonna. If I had to compare Rollergirl to BellaDonna I would  have to say that BellaDonna is slightly darker, but very close in color.

Kimber: Is a pale orange. Of all the colors in this line this was the sheerest. I would have to build the color up to get the intense orange that you see in the tube.

Since I have BellaDonna and RollerGirl I wanted to show you a side by side comparison of them. They are so close in color.

2014 Lit Cosmetic Glitter Review & Giveaway

Lit Cosmetics Lit Kits ($19.95 for 0.28 oz.) launched at Sephora in 2013 and OMG it's just what the Doctor ordered for us glitter fanatics. The Lit Kits in Sephora contains a full sized glitter (0.14 oz), a mini Clearly Liquid Base (0.14 oz), and a mini application brush.

I first learned about Lit Cosmetics in 2011 after watching Tattianna Ward on YouTube (BeatFaceHoney). I placed my order to this Canadian based company and got my order within 2 weeks here in California. Ever since then I have been hooked on the No Glitter No Glory company. I would have to say that 80% of the glitters that I own are from Lit Cosmetics, and I have hundreds of glitters.

Lit Cosmetics are available in shimmer, metallics, solids, electrics and now holographic. They are also available in different sizes, S1, S2, S3 and S4 with S2 being the most popular for me. I will use the S3 when I want the larger glitter reflects but I haven't tried S4 yet.

Over the last 3 years I have seen different techniques on Youtube on how to apply the glitter and clearly glitter base. Some use a clean cotton q-tip, a brush, and even their fingers. My favorite is using a thin brush, dipping it in the clearly liquid glitter base, then dipping that wet brush into the glitter and apply. My technique when I want to lightly dust the glitter (especially with Barbie Shops) is to take a fluffy brush, spray MAC Fix + lightly on it and then get a little bit of the glitter and lightly pat glitter in areas that need extra sparkle.

2014 is here and Lit is bringing some major glitter magic to market. Sephora has the Holographic Lit Kit shades in Disco Diva, Superfly and Rich & Famous. (You can also find Lit Cosmetics at Beautylish)

Disco Diva: Is a rich grape/violet purple with small reflects of magenta and this cool rainbow holographic effect.

Superfly: Is a smokey grey with rainbow holographic reflects.

Rich and Famous (Holographic): Is a rich yellow gold with the 3D rainbow holographic effect.

New to the line up in 2014 are Heartbreaker, Bar Star and Glittergasm. Be on the look out for these amazing glitters. I am going to use these glitters in a few upcoming makeup tutorials and I will add the videos to this blog post as I create them.

Tat2U Lip Creme Extreme Review

Tat2u Lip Creme Extreme
Last spring, Tat2U ($14.00 for .25 fl. oz.) was at a convention I attended called Generation Beauty. It’s pigmented, hydrating, creamy gloss that feels very moisturizing.  The consistency is much like a gel and cream.  They’re very comfortable to wear and last between three and four hours on me (about average).  I didn’t notice any taste, but they have a slightly sweet scent to them. The shade Sweet Thing doesn't apply as evenly as I’d like because it's the thinnest consistency to me. Shades like Hearts & Flowers, LOL and Mucho Caliente are great options for anyone who likes richly pigmented glosses.  These Extreme Creme glosses are a great quality  and after just one application they last hours and provide a rich color. The biggest difference between these glosses and others on the market today are the ingredients and the rich pigmentation.

The ingredients are:

Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Olive (Oleo Europea) Oil, Isostearyl Palmitate, Cera Alba (Bees) Wax, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Silica Silylate, Theobroma Grandiflorum (Cupuacu) Seed Butter, Hydrogenated Polycyclopentadiene, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride. May Contain: Red #7 Lake (CI 15850), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77091), Mica (CI 77019), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499), Red #28 (CI 45410), Yellow 6 Lake (CI 15985), Silica, Manganese Violet (CI 77742)

I recently attended IMATS Los Angeles 2014 and was pleased to see them as an exhibitor there. They are truly worth trying and has quickly become my go to lipglosses of 2014.

 Swatches in daylight

Mucho Caliente: Is a organge opaque color. It doesn't have a lot of shimmer to it and I don't see any glitter or reflects of glitter. It reminds me of a pure Orange color straight out of the crayon box.
Fabuloisity: Is a mauve tone pink. This extreme creme isn't as heavy or pigmented as some of the others. It's rich but more of a frost finish.
Sweet Thing: Is a neutral tone gloss. It's pigmented and has small reflects of shimmer in it.
Hearts and Flowers: Is a red gloss. It is a true red gloss but it has golden tone shimmer in it.

LOL: Is a very pink color. This gloss has to be my favorite of the collection. It's a Barbie pink with blue tone reflects that makes your teeth look whiter. Its very creamy and highly pigmented. It's a color I will always have in my purse as a go to pink gloss.
Hollywood & Wine: Is a very burgundy reddish color. It has very smalled burgundy shimmers in it. This color was my go to color for the winter. I also did a look with it on my Instagram page (MakeupVixen). It was my favorite gloss of November 2013.
