Kirstie Alley Takes to Twitter to Rave About Rain Lillie Castor Oil
It's not every day a two-time Emmy Award-winning Hollywood
actress reveals herself to be a fan of a small business and its products, but that's exactly what happened to Rain Lillie, an organic beauty products company that has received two Twitter shout-outs from none other than Kirstie Alley.
"In LOVE w this product..NOT a paid sponsor, just a huge fan!" Alley Tweeted on November 27th. Less than an hour later, the actress followed up with, "I mean, weird pic but my hair is 50% fuller now! No extensions, NO tricks..& I'm ancient :)"
The product that has captured Alley's attention is Rain Lillie's 100% Organic Castor Oil. Cold-pressed and hexane-free, the oil is naturally high in Vitamin E, essential fatty acids, protein, and minerals. Castor oil is quickly becoming the darling of the beauty world due to its high ricinoleic, or Omega 9, acid content, which anecdotal evidence has shown to increase circulation to the scalp and stimulate hair growth when regularly applied topically.
And that's exactly what Alley said happened to her, when she contacted Rain Lillie Co-founder Craig Frost to thank him for his company's product.
"I was freaking out because my hair seemed to be getting thinner! I've always had swell hair so this was particularly worrisome," Alley wrote. "I started using Rain Lillie on my scalp, eyebrows and lashes…About a month later I started seeing baby hairs sprouting all around my hairline! My brows got thicker and lashes thicker and longer. I haven't seen baby hairs on my hairline for years! If it does for you what it is doing for me, you will be astonished!"
Rain Lillie, a team of young and health conscious entrepreneurs, launched 100% Organic Castor Oil last summer after spending a year studying the most effective organic ingredients for hair and skin. Their research led them to castor oil, famous all over the world for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and use as a home remedy. Until recently, however, no one was massaging castor oil into their scalps, eyebrows, or eyelashes. And in fact, not all castor oil is completely effective in stimulating hair regrowth: Some brands contain preservatives and filler ingredients that can actually be harmful to skin and hair.
"We knew we wanted to develop only the most effective, safe, natural and organic products at Rain Lillie," Frost stated. "So we worked hard to create a pure castor oil that is organic and truly helps to stimulate hair growth and condition the skin when regularly applied to the scalp. We are thrilled that Ms. Alley has had such phenomenal results using Rain Lillie 100% Organic Castor Oil, and we are grateful that she is sharing her experience with others."
Alley may want to keep her eye on Rain Lillie in the coming months: The company plans to launch several new organic beauty products for hair and skin in 2017.
