Deven Green ($10.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.)

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics officially launched the new Deven Green nail polish on Tuesday March 4, 2014 at the Sephora on Hollywood and Highland. Although I did see this beautiful polish at IMATS Los Angeles in January 2014 I didn't purchase it for my collection. I figured I would wait until March for the official release and that it was just another green polish, oh how sadly I was mistaken.

While attending the launch party I was able to ask questions about this new color and I even got my polish packaging autographed. I had no idea that this polish is name after someone, Deven Green aka Betty Bowers. Ms Bowers was there taking photographs, promoting this gorgeous color, signing autographs, and of course she sang for us. I don't know why I wouldn't have guessed that this polish could be named after someone, seeing as how the David, the owner of OCC, has a liptar named Grandma, after his grandma, lol.

After having played in this nearly neon lime green nail polish color I think I have fallen in love. It's not the average neon green. The texture is creamy and opaque, not like most neon polishes that are more gel like. The color is bold and it even has a glow to it under UV lights. Plus this shade of green next to my Tan skin tone (MAC NC42) really pops. I can only imagine how many wild and sexy designs I can come up with using this color.

All in all I am very happy with this color. It lasts for days with a proper top coat and base, doesn't have gel like consistency, only takes about 1-2 coats, easy to work with, and it catches the attention that I love getting. I would love to always have this shade in my nail polish collection.

This gets 5 Vixen Kisses from me!!
